Another workout was being prepared this time for a different race and to race the maiden stock. Sam and Reena were walking towards their mounts which getting ready for them. There was a three year old dapple grey filly who have been on the track a little last season before we bought her. Then there a bay two year old filly which is beginning her career.
Both horses with their jockies on their back it's time to get to business. Dazzling was being her usual bossy self and getting in the way of Angel. Sam gave her tap on her rump as she was begin really naughty today. Finally on the track and allowing the two machines breeze for few minutes, so the loaders can sort the gates and to loosen the muscles.
Everything checked and sorted, Angel went into the gate like an angel. Dazzling had other plans and was being really stubborn, finally the loaders placed a hood over her head, and pushed her into the gates. Just before the gates sprung open, Sam removed the hood from Dazzling head, and she broke fast and cleanly, just like Angel. Angel hanged back and allowed Dazzling to have the track to herself, as Reena knew it would matter in the end.
Thinking Angel was giving up Sam used his own mistake and pushed Dazzling on more. Then the final turn began to come up, and Reena gave Angel the signal to move forward, and she did with ease. Due to being pushed earlier started to fail due to using her all of her stamina. Angel being more experienced have learnt to hold her stamina until the end.
The finishing line was in sight and Angel quickly cross it with an easy lead of four length. Dazzling continue the running even though it was just workout and practice, she would learn with experienced in a real race and also pick up with the stamina as well.
